Weekend Fun: The Twouble with Twitter (Video)

By Michael Stelzner

When I first saw this, I simply could not stop laughing.

This is the “perfect” satire on Twitter.

What do you think?

  • The most fascinating thing for me wasn’t actually the video… it was the fact that it had upwards of a million views at that point! Many from some who hadn’t a clue what Twitter was and kept saying rather plaintively “What’s Twitter? before saying it was stupid, etc

You know, I have never used Twitter, nor will I ever. That was a pretty great video. I never even jumped on the My Space or Facebook band wagon. To quote the video, "I just don't care what everyone else is doing." :)

    That's a riot !

    The real world wins again.
  • Agreed on the fail whale Joey lol. Now whenever I'm on Twitter and I see it surface, I think back on the video and get a laugh out of it.

I'm actually surprised twitter can have so many issues and yet still be so tremendously successful.

  • Some of my favorite quotes...

    "What's twitter?"

"You summoned the fail whale!!!" (the best) lol
  • My husband sent that video to me and I couldn't resist tweeting it. Satire indeed and I thought it was obvious they were users. Judging from the non-twitter users commenting though not too sure how many actually got the satire.

  • Very funny... the perfect spoof. Somebody is paying attention!
  • Cool...hahaha........

I laughed so hard I think I hurt myself.
  • LOL! That's awesome. Was just thinking today how twitter has evolved (or at least amongst my "tweeps") since I first started using it last year. The mundane comments seem to be lessening as people figure out the point of twitter which is to connect and network with like minded people. Pretty simple.

When you get it, everything clicks. Until then, you sort of have to just grit your teeth :)

Thanks for sharing. A good laugh!

    Cheers.
  • Fabulous satire. Yes, we need lives and real friends, but we need laughs too.
  • This was freakin' hilarious! I love the part where they "summon the fail whale!" Thanks for making my morning that much better!
  • Can't believe I just watched that and found myself laughing and enjoying it. Hail to the Twittersphere~
I enjoy it, won't admit I'm addicted to it or anything close, but so far I've avoided twittering about every move I make throughout my day. Give me time right?

Hysterical! Though, I'm wondering why I'm bothering to leave a comment here if no one is listening...
  • GREAT video. This really comprises every reason I think twitter is stupid. It was pretty hysterical, especially whe nthe "fail whale" shows up. Lol, sadly, I'm just as addicted to twitter as those guys though :)
