Its nice though; its a community thing. It is social. But if you really want to see how much these blogs et al are(nt) stimulating your work, try taking a week or ten days off. It makes sense that original thoughts come from places outside the limits of your computer screen. I like it when people blog, and work, with personality. The world doesn't have a plastic border. I must be honest I am a blogaholic thus get caught up with posting to start with, then there is skype, emails etc. Statistically they say that the average staff member only works 60% of the day, 100 hours out of 173 which confirms what you are saying.
