I enjoyed your post. AdAge just published a story related to SEO and Social Meda optimization. Matt Creamer, one of their editors, writes about his experience being "optimized" by SEO and SMM. You might enjoy the article: http://adage.com/digital/article?article_id=122344

If anyone has heard of James Brausch or Nemeas, I'd love to hear someone comment about them. I've heard only good things. Mr. Brausch is a successful internet marketer.

Hey Dean,

for older sites (such as yours), it is usually enough to do some on-site optimization (meta tags, h1 tags, etc.) to see the rankings improve.

This is because Google tends to like older domains.

On-site optimization and link building are definitely two important activities for every web site owner. The results you can get in the long term are worth the effort.

I'm no SEO expert, but after years of ignoring my business site and watching my place in the search engines drop, I embraced basic on-site SEO and within a month raised my site for key phrases from page 6 or 7 in google to page 1 or 2. And my Alexa rank rose over 1 million positions. I have a long way to go to be where I want to be, but I see SEO as a means of "greasing the tracks" to let people find you. It's not the one and only answer to all site or blog issues, but it's an important part.

Hi Vittorio;

I must say that SEO has been a really big part of my businesses success.

In particular with white papers, having a content rich landing page is very helpful to improve your SEO rankings.
