Remembering D-Day

By Michael Stelzner

This day in 1944, brave American’s put their life on the line to rid the world of an evil man.

This was before my time, but I am struck by the amazing courage and bravery these boys demonstrated when many would be fighting for their last day.

This picture represents what many saw that day as they entered the water’s of France:

Notice the smoke of gunfire on Omaha beach.

I just want to say thanks for fighting for my freedom.

If you were alive when this took place or know relatives who were, what does this day mean to you?
