White Paper Margins? ASK MIKE
By Michael StelznerDo you have a question about white papers?
Send them my way and I will post them here with answers.
Theresa sent an email and asked, “What are the margins to set up a ‘White Paper’ design?”
The margins for a white paper are rather variable Theresa.
However, I prefer to use a very wide margin on the left — 2.5 inches.
This wide left margin allows a few advantages:
- You can add call outs at the beginning of major sections
- When people print the paper, they can write notes in the left margin
- The added white space ads visual appeal
- There are less words on the page, making it easier for people to read
